Venice and Netherlands Human environment interaction
Human Environment Interaction: The relationship between environment and the people that live in them And how they change and adapt to the environment.

The Netherlands once had about 40% of its land under water. To fix this problem they used polders to drain water out of its land. First by building canals for the water to run through, then building a wall to hold the canal back, and lastly by using wind mills, electrically powered, to pump un wanted water into the canals and away from their land.

Venice, Italy was once in a lagoon and separated into 117 little islands. By building canals between the islands and building the necessary buildings they decided that it would be best to keep Venice as it is and use the canals as streets. By running the canals into the Adriatic sea they try to ensure that the canals wont flood the buildings.

We can probably use the same technique as Venice in the everglades because it is basically the same set up there as there was in venice but much larger. It can be the new and improved version of Venice in America
