Pollution in Indonesia has become a giant problem for the country and its people. Because of its huge amounts of factories, it is one of the fastest growing countries in pollution. According to jakartaglobe.com, Indonesia has two of the worst cities in regards to pollution. Pollution can have a major impact on the environment and the people of Indonesia. When big businesses are having a negative impact on the area, Indonesia is an option for them. They are encouraged in Indonesia because then the country is more exposed to the world and the economy might be boosted slightly. But the negative impacts on the country and the people is greater than the positives.

The theme of geography that relates to pollution in Indonesia is Human-Environment Interaction. People have affected not only themselves but the environment. The pollution that the factories are causing harms the environment in many ways. Plants and animals may suffer from pollution which may cause them to die. For humans pollution, specifically air pollution, can cause asthma, allergies, lung cancer, and various breathing problems. Illegal forest burning causes pollution as well. Water pollution flows freely throughout the rivers of Indonesia. So throughout Indonesia, pollution is a rising problem that should be dealt with immediately.

This will help reduce the annual haze the comes upon cities in Indonesia.Indonesia's economy relies mostly on manufacturing. This manufacturing supplies for many countries around the world. So the world must help support the government in reducing the pollution in Indonesia.
