Background in the 1960s and 1970s the southeast asian economies being to grow do to the development of industrialization.Because of this factor urbanization increase in southeast asian countries. there are 3 different levels of urbanization and they are rated by how much urbanization there is in that country. the first level is countries with relatively high levels of urbanization like in these countries Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia.The urbanization rate for these countries is 70%.the urbanization rate of Singapore reached 100% as early as the 1960s. the second level are countries that have moderate levels of urbanization, like in Indonesia and the Philippines, urbanization rates between 40% and 60%. The urbanization rates of Indonesia and the Philippines were 50.7% and 48.8% in 2011, both about the same as the world average of 52.1% of urbanization. the third level are countries that have low levels of urbanization. like in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand.urbanization rates between 20% and 40%, which significantly low compared to the world average.
