Maybe it might have been a warning or a prank. Also because no one should be able to send a letter to Mexico and say we will give you your land back and if you help us attack United States. That is just insane; no one should do that, which is just pushing it over the line. The only reason why I think that we shouldn\u2019t get into the fight if they didn\u2019t have to be so mean because we did nothing to make them want to attack us. We were not involved at all and they think they can all powerful and just take our land. That is so stupid because we didn\u2019t deserve it and we are innocent.

The lords gave land to the lower peasants but they had to field there land also. I am so glad that I am not a peasant. Feudalism was a hard time for us. The Black Death or the plague came and hit hard. I am so happy that no one in my family got sick. But my best friend died and I am sad about that. Everybody they thought had to be part of their religion. If you were not part of their religion you were disowned from the church. That was a bad sign for everybody. The Church had major authority. Many people including the king and his soldiers come to my shop weekly looking for weapons, armor, silverware, and even some toys for children. My life is great. I am always busy doing something I love. I live in a small two story house on the east side of town. Every Wednesday I take off to play with my children at the local town park. When the week days come back, I work long hours and usually don\u2019t charge much for my services. Soldiers come to me and buy weapons. That is how I make my money. My shop is called Kaplan Blacksmithing. Though living through both feudalism and manorialism was hard my family and I got through it. My social class in some ways improved after feudalism. Land was to be granted to us. That is how i created my shop. We are required to go to church if we want to escape hell. My family goes every Sunday but after the Latin Christendom, everything went crazy. The churches were burning people at the stake and that changed our views about them. But once the popes split, the church started to increase again.
\n Since I am a blacksmith, I need to acquire metal for making weapons, armor, and other necessities. I pay people 5 silver coins for every 10 pounds of ore I get. Ore is the material needed by blacksmiths. Once I get ore I smelt them into metal bars which I turn into goods I can sell. Some tools needed throughout my day are tongs, hammers, and an anvil. At the end of the day I clean up shop and go to bed around 10:30. My store hours are 10am-8pm. I have so many orders for weapenry and work tools, im going to be working none stop till like next year, plus yesterday I had to start on a new knight armer wich isnt then easest thijng at all to make , igot to form the mchest plate right, same with the helm, and the greaves are the hardest.

I grant land to serfs. They have about 2\/3 of the land and I\u2019m left with 1\/3 of the land. They usually die about 30, but it doesn\u2019t hurt me if they reproduce. And if any of them were to leave, we will hunt them down and most likely kill them, or bring them back and make sure they are being watched. And, if anyone dared to hunt an animal on my land, they\u2019d be forced to give it to me. Then, cultural diffusion hit, and no longer was everybody dependant on each other. I stayed as a lord, but many people were making their way up throughout the system. Peasants to freedmen and freedmen to knights, it was changing daily. It didn\u2019t bother me, but I was starting to lose power over peasants. As long as I had the most power, I didn\u2019t care. The invention of bow and arrows came, and ever body was able to defend the land. There was no more need for knights. All of a sudden, the Church became so powerful. They made an idea of Sacraments, so everybody started worshipping the Church more and more. The Church eventually made a Tithe, which made everyone pay 1\/10 of their salary to the Church. I thought it was a great idea, and I eventually bought myself into the position of an Arch Bishop from the money I had left from my old land. I knew this would get me rich, and it did. It was what many people did, and it worked very well. The pope eventually moved the head Church to France, which kind of led to the downfall of this. I saw a serf killing an animal on my land so I beat him and told him to get back to work. Some of my workers looked a little sick. Something I\u2019ve never seen before. They had lumps on their necks, bloodspots on their arms, and they smelled really bad like a dead corpse. All of a sudden I saw a blacksmith come into my house telling me there is a deadly plague upon us called \u201cthe black plague.\u201d There were many of my workers that died of this plague. Fortunately I was able to survive this horrible plague. There remained a few of us in the village. There were now more job opportunities for the serfs like a bowyer. Then there were churches opening for people to go to so they could pray and hopefully go to heaven and not hell. As time went by there was doubt to the churches about because there were so many popes in the church saying they are the ones in charge. I to doubt the church because they had too much power from tithe and the increasing number of doubters. John Wycliffe said that a church was not needed but the book is all that you needed. I got a book that he translated from Latin to English and I could continue my praying. The manor I am in has some symptoms of it. We believe it is because they have a job in the town as the market person and so they might have an over expose to someone with it. And the other day someone tried to poison the pope it turns out it was just someone who didn\u2019t like what we were talking about in church I chased after him for a while but he eventully gave in. So we threw him in the jail and then we just let him out three days later. But now he has to do farm work from now on and he has to report to me before he can do anything. I became e a serf on a manor because I asked the king for perfection of his grand wall, in trade I told him that I would become his serf and work on the fields. The land that we have is 1\/3 of the kings and we must work on those fields too, and give the kings and lords a profit of our crops that we grow. And after the plague hit everyone was getting very sick and half of my family died, everyone was hiding and trying to get away from it. Luckily I got bubonic which is not as bad as the other ones so I lived. I constantly see people with boils or black spots on them, or coughing up blood and I knew they had the plague. And soon after a while it faded away. Our religion was Christianity and everyone looked up to the pope, but soon after the popes began getting greedy. And after a while people began to not trust the pope and they spoke out , those people were burned on a cross. It\u2019s all very self-suffient and we all are very independent. We worked six days of the week, and on Sunday we went to church with our Priest. He was the only one who knew how to read. One day a market came to town and there were so many different things from all over. Slowly, the way our lives were lived changed. There became enough land for me to plant extra crops and sell them to the town. Other people who came to buy my crops gave me money instead of bartering, which helped out in buying other necessities. The jump from my level of serfdom to the lords was more fluid when free men were introduced. Eventually the King depended on me and my neighbors to produce food for the town, and the freemen to make food, create armor, and other necessary items. Lords and vassals helped do the things that the king didn\u2019t have time for. We all became very dependent on each other, but the problem with this is that when the Black Death came around many parts of each level of hierarchy were lost, this caused instability in work. People began choosing jobs not on class, but rather, their skills. We still all went to church though, every Sunday. One day our priest came to us telling about how the church split into the Western Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox. The Catholics kept their pope and others leaders, but the Orthodox followers changed. We get 2\/3 of the land while the lord gets 1\/3 in the end we get just enough food to survive; I usually get black bread, vegetables and mostly ale. But I\u2019ve never had the taste of meat before. If I were more skilled I could work be a miller, blacksmith, or carpenter, but I am a field worker, and as long as I live I\u2019m good. While working in the mid 1300s a black death came upon us, people were dying everywhere, every one in three people were dying. This disease was spread by fleas on rats, rats were everywhere and so was the black death. This disease came in three forms, bubonic, pneumonic, and septicemc. The only good thing about this disease is when you got it, and then you were dead within a few days so you didn\u2019t have to suffer from it. The church that I went to had authorities, as other church do as well. They were sacraments, canon law, excommunication, wealthy institution, and the pope crowned holy emperors. The pope was the spiritual leader of the church then came the arch bishop and the bishops. The great schism happened not a long time after. My role as a peasant and all the other roles relate because we all have duties and jobs to do and accomplish. \nBeing a king during the Middle Ages is harder than I thought. With feudalism, manorialism, and Latin Christendom, its way harder than I thought.
\nFeudalism is like where everyone depends on everyone, you can\u2019t change your social position, and it\u2019s a set of agreements between two unequal members. But of course Feudalism is declining because of all of the plaque that\u2019s going around. Why just yesterday 5 of my peasants died and crops are coming really slow lately.
\nManorialism is when an economic community\u2019s center on the manor house is self-sufficient and decentralized. And just like feudalism, that\u2019s declining too because of the revival or trade.
\nAnd lastly, Latin Christendom is what happened when the Roman Empire fell and the Catholic Church split into eastern and western churches. At first the church was strong and that lasted a long time, but when people started speaking out about the church, that\u2019s when things started to decline just like the first two described.
\nAll three of these pillars are related because they were the pillars during the Middle Ages and because they all declined because of cultural diffusion.
\nThese days I\u2019m dependant on everyone. Actually everyone is dependent on everyone. The peasants depend on all of us for land to farm on. The freedmen do jobs such as blacksmiths and what not to make the things knight and peasants need. The knights protect our manor form invaders and from attacks. The vassals find our knights and divide land. The church officials hold church on every Sunday so we all can go to heaven when we die. And lastly, I, the king, lead everyone through this difficult time.
